Terms & Conditions

These terms cover what you can expect from SafeZone and what we ask of you when you buy a security camera system and have it installed. We have kept the language plain so you can read it before you sign anything.

SafeZone’s owner should have a New York attorney review these terms before launch.

Last updated: 2026. These terms apply to quotes, sales, and installation work performed by SafeZone (the “Company,” “we,” or “us”) for our customers (“you”). If anything here is unclear, email us or use the contact form before you book.

1. Accepting these terms

These terms cover anyone who requests a quote from us, buys equipment from us, or has us install or service a system. By accepting a written quote, paying a deposit, or scheduling installation, you agree to the terms on this page. If you are signing on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to do so. If you do not agree, please do not book the work.

2. Our services

SafeZone designs, supplies, installs, and supports security equipment for homes and businesses across New York City and Long Island. That includes security cameras, recorders, video doorbells, and access control. A typical project includes a site review, a written recommendation, the equipment, standard installation, and setup of phone viewing.

The specifics of any job — what equipment you get, how many cameras, where they go, and what it costs — are whatever your written, signed quote lists. The quote is the agreement. If a job needs work outside that scope, we tell you before we start.

3. Quotes, deposits, and payment

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date we send them. After that, prices may change because equipment and labor costs move over time. A quote becomes an agreement once you accept it in writing and we confirm a date.

For most installations we ask for a deposit when you book, with the balance due once the work is finished and you have signed off. The deposit amount, and what it covers, are stated on your individual quote. Once we order the equipment for your job, the deposit becomes non-refundable, because that equipment is bought specifically for you. The $49 on-site assessment fee, where it applies, is credited toward your installation if you go ahead with us.

4. Scheduling and access

When we book a date, you agree to give our team safe, clear access to the areas where the work happens — entryways, the spot for the recorder, power, and your internet connection. If pets, locked rooms, parking, or building rules could get in the way, let us know ahead of time so we can plan for it.

If we cannot safely complete the work on the scheduled day because access was not available, we may need to reschedule, and a return visit may affect the price. You can reschedule by contacting us before your appointment, and we will work with you to find a new date. We may also reschedule for weather, safety, or staffing reasons, and we will give you as much notice as we can.

5. The Free Standard Installation promotion

From time to time we run a Free Standard Installation offer on qualifying camera packages. That offer is subject to the separate Promotion Terms page, which explains what “standard installation” covers and what may cost extra. Your eligibility for the promotion is confirmed after we review your project. Work outside the standard scope — extra equipment, specialty mounting, long cable runs, permits, electrical work, and similar — may carry additional charges, which we explain before we start.

6. Warranty

We back our installation work with a 12-month SafeZone labor warranty. If something we installed stops working because of how it was installed — a loose mount, a bad connection, a configuration we set up — we come back and fix it at no charge during that period.

The cameras, recorders, doorbells, and other hardware are covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty, which is usually two to three years and varies by product. We help you file a manufacturer claim and handle the swap at no extra labor cost while the manufacturer warranty applies. The labor warranty does not cover damage from weather events, power surges, vandalism, pests, tampering, accidents, normal wear of consumable parts, issues caused by your internet service, or changes made by anyone other than SafeZone.

7. Limitation of liability

Please read this part carefully. A security system reduces risk; it does not eliminate it. Cameras can deter problems, capture useful video, and make incidents easier to review — but no system can guarantee that a theft, break-in, injury, or loss will be prevented. Power outages, internet outages, equipment failure, blocked views, and tampering can all interrupt recording.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, SafeZone is not liable for losses a system could not prevent. Where we are found liable for any claim connected to our work, our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service in question. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under New York law.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a scheduled installation by contacting us before work begins. If you cancel within 48 hours of booking, we refund your full deposit, less the cost of any equipment we have already ordered for your job. Once equipment is ordered, that portion is non-refundable, because it is bought specifically for you. Labor already performed on your behalf is also not refundable. If we cancel a project ourselves before any equipment is ordered, we refund your deposit in full.

9. Privacy

How we collect and use the information you share with us is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using our services you agree to that policy as well. You are responsible for using your system in line with the law, including telling people when an area is recorded where that is required.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute connected to our services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you agree to that venue. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our services or the law change. The version in effect for your project is the one posted when you accept your quote. The current version always lives on this page.
